| SYMPOSIUM DESCRIPTION & PURPOSE |
The Eighth International Congress on Genitourinary Malignancies brings together leading experts to present the latest advances in the
treatment of genitourinary malignancies. Topics such as clinical and
molecular disease characterization, prevention and prognosis, multimodality
clinical management of disease, current immunologic approaches, and
efficacy and safety of novel therapeutic agents will be discussed in detail.
In a stimulating and interactive format, the congress includes case
presentations that provide opportunities to discuss clinical challenges
that practicing physicians face and to examine how to integrate current
advances into clinical practice. You are encouraged to bring your own
cases for discussion. In addition, interactive panel discussions with expert
faculty address controversial topics in the field of genitourinary oncology.
For the first time, the Eighth International Congress on Genitourinary
Malignancies combines the Prostate Cancer Congress and the Kidney/Bladder
Congress into 1 congress that presents cutting-edge information on a range of
genitourinary malignancies. |

| TARGET AUDIENCE |
| This educational program is directed toward medical, surgical, and radiation
oncologists; urologists; internal medicine and primary care physicians; and
basic research investigators. Fellows, oncology nurses, physician assistants,
and pharmacists interested in the treatment and management of patients with
genitourinary malignancies are also invited to attend. |

| LEARNING OBJECTIVES |
At the conclusion of this congress,
you should be able to:
Bladder Cancer
-
Describe state-of-the-art surgical and clinical management of
recurrent superficial disease
- Review existing adjuvant and neoadjuvant therapies
- Compare chemotherapy regimens for muscle-invasive and
advanced disease
Renal Cell Carcinoma
- Discuss adjuvant trials and the use of prognostic factors in
localized renal cell carcinoma
- Examine the role of surgical intervention in the treatment of
small renal tumors
- Assess the role of biomarkers and treatment decisions in
advanced renal cell carcinoma
- Differentiate pretreatment risk features of poor-prognosis
patients
- Describe unique pathogenic elements and the natural history
of non–clear cell carcinoma
- Evaluate the efficacy and safety of novel targeted agents
Prostate Cancer
- Discuss the significance of biomarkers in determining risk
- Compare the roles of active surveillance and intervention
treatment strategies in early-stage disease
- Integrate multimodality treatment, including hormonal
therapy, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and surgery, in
patients with prostate cancer, including those with hormonerefractory
and high-risk localized disease
- Compare the utility of salvage radiation therapy and salvage
surgery for recurrent disease
- Examine the role of bisphosphonates and
radiopharmaceuticals in the treatment of bone metastases
